Dr. Matthew Allen

Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Allen is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist with experience in numerous treatment modalities including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and brachytherapy.

A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Allen has contributed many papers and abstracts to the field and has presented at the Radiological Society of North America and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (among others) both stateside and abroad.  He prides himself on offering his patients compassion, accessibility and kindness along with the best treatment possible.  He and his wife love traveling, sports and spending time exploring the beautiful North State with their three dogs.

Dr. Lauren Strickland

Breast Oncology Surgeon
Dr. Strickland brings her specialized, board-certified training back to the community. She specializes in the treatment of patients with malignant and benign diseases of the breast. In addition to her breast training, Dr. Strickland is well-educated in ultrasound and surgical procedures such as excisional biopsy and lumpectomy. Her mastectomy techniques include skin-sparing and nipple areolar-sparing, oncoplastic, and hidden scar techniques.

Dr. Strickland’s experience also provides an opportunity to treat and manage patients at genetic and high risk of developing breast cancer. Dr. Strickland’s passion for women’s health led her to pioneer the first Breast Health Surgery Line at Sutter Gould Medical Foundation in October 2015. During her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and attending jazz events and cultural festivals. Dr. Strickland takes great pride and privilege in patient centered care, relationship-building, and educating patients and the community on breast disease, cancer, and treatment options.

Kevin M. Lin, MD FACS

Surgical Oncologist

Dr. Lin grew up on the Island of Oahu (Honolulu) and pursued his Medical Degree at Creighton University (Omaha, NE). He maintained family ties to Southern California where his sister resides. Inspired by his physician mentors at Creighton, he trained in General Surgery and then specialized in Lynch Syndrome research and clinically in the field of Surgical (Breast) Oncology at the University of Missouri Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, where state-of-the-art Breast, Melanoma, soft tissue, and upper and lower GI Cancer Care were at the forefront of their oncology initiatives.

For more than a decade, Dr Lin has been the premier Breast Surgeon (Surgical Oncologist) at Tripler AMC. He has been a busy academic staff surgical educator for residents aspiring to provide surgical care to our servicemen and women in US military bases at home and in harm’s way overseas. He has served our country with distinction as a Lt Colonel combat surgeon the past 6 years on 2 extended tours of duty to Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr Lin enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and 2 children: biking, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, boating, and skiing. We welcome Dr Lin to the Redding-Red Bluff communities and are honored to have him join our distinguished cancer treatment team at Valor Oncology.
