Kevin M. Lin, MD FACS
Surgical Oncologist
Dr. Lin grew up on the Island of Oahu (Honolulu) and pursued his Medical Degree at Creighton University (Omaha, NE). He maintained family ties to Southern California where his sister resides. Inspired by his physician mentors at Creighton, he trained in General Surgery and then specialized in Lynch Syndrome research and clinically in the field of Surgical (Breast) Oncology at the University of Missouri Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, where state-of-the-art Breast, Melanoma, soft tissue, and upper and lower GI Cancer Care were at the forefront of their oncology initiatives.
For more than a decade, Dr Lin has been the premier Breast Surgeon (Surgical Oncologist) at Tripler AMC. He has been a busy academic staff surgical educator for residents aspiring to provide surgical care to our servicemen and women in US military bases at home and in harm’s way overseas. He has served our country with distinction as a Lt Colonel combat surgeon the past 6 years on 2 extended tours of duty to Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr Lin enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and 2 children: biking, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, boating, and skiing. We welcome Dr Lin to the Redding-Red Bluff communities and are honored to have him join our distinguished cancer treatment team at Valor Oncology.
